In a world that pulls us away from tending to our writing, sometimes we just need to space to slow down, refocus, and work with intention.

This writing workshop will offer you the opportunity to honor your own work with a group of like-minded writers. Perhaps you have old poems, essays, or stories you’re ready to dust off, and you simply haven’t been able to sit down and give them attention. Or perhaps you have new work you’re eager to share, and you’ve been in need of the external motivation of a class. Or maybe you haven’t taken many writing workshops before, and are looking for a writing community. Whatever your needs, whatever your ambitions, this workshop will set you up to think through your current writing goals, and accomplish them.

We’ll share work with each other, discuss what mentally and logistically keeps us from the page, and learn how we can work to abolish the judges in our heads in order to make room for the curious, creative minds that live within us all.

This workshop is open to poetry, flash fiction, and flash essays. Students should have at least one piece at the start that they know they’d like to have workshopped.
