We all have that half-done story, the essay with no ending, the full draft that is not done but we can’t figure out how to develop it. But you can’t bring a partially finished work to class . . . can you?
We say you can.
This class is not aimed to be a traditional workshop, but one in which the writer and group discuss goals, what you have so far, the original creative impulse, and how you usually work and what new methods might be worth a try now.
We’ll look for the places in your rough or partial draft with the most vitality and promise, and discuss ideas and prompts on how to tap into it. Then the writer decides what she wants to try, and comes back in the next session with her work.
The best part? Doing this with other writers gives you tools to use for your own work.
Join us for a 4-session, monthly class, in which up to eight writers will each have 2 discussions, one of your original piece and one of your developed/revised draft.
